I have to give props to a guy by the name of Steve (his handle is stevedepot) on the NY Islanders Country Message board (www.nyislanderscountry.com). He does some great work, and I wanted to share this with everyone.
I will quote his entry:
I hope Jack Black doesn’t sue me for this but I liked the aggressive, physical and some times dirty play of our new defensemen the other night. Especially that of Brendan Witt. Moving the puck out of the zone is essential yes, but the grit and the hits we’ve seen are something that have been sorely missing from an Islander team for some time.
