So many people have been seriously barking about the officials this year.  I tend to give a little benefit of the doubt and just chalk it up to human error.

However, if you watched last night’s game, that would be an exception.

Have folks in Pittsburgh, Canada, and the NHL offices, officially annointed Sidney Crosby as the next SAVIOR?  He is allowed to do what he wants, and not get 2 minutes for it?

I am so sick and tired of the prima-donna crap!

He was constantly slashing pushing and just being a nuisance on the ice.  And where was the officials hand?  Certainly not in the air, that’s for sure.

He was pushing around Trent Hunter late in the game, and what happened?  Good ‘ol T shoved his fist into his face.  He (Crosby) looked like he was going to cry…  Of course, the winning goal for Pittsburgh was on a power play caused by the fact, that Alexei Yashin (who had a GREAT game last night) was slashed by Crosby on his hand, and Yash retaliated.

The ref’s ONLY saw the 2nd act, not the first?  Or are they only using their GOOD EYE?

Anyway - My Three Stars?

  1. Alexei Yashin - No brainer - 1 goal 2 helpers all over the ice (not his fault for the penalty that lost the game - anybody doesnt think that way, should be SHOT on freaking sight)
  2. Mike Sillinger - Good game - another goal - solid effort once again
  3. Richard Park - He just gives it all EVERY game.  Just a pleasure to watch

Gold Star - Jiggs McDonald - with the loss last night in Game 7 - the Mets season is unfortuately a reality.  For Islander fans, that means that Howie will leave his cleats at the door, grab a stick and puck, and get back to calling Islander games.  I hope that the younger generation of Islander fans realize what a treat this was.  A Hall of Fame announcer, and honestly, one of the nicest gentleman in the game.  It brought back such wonderful and exciting memories.  Jiggs and Billy Jaffee had a great chemistry and it was shown almost right away.  I hope that Howie can duplicate the job that Jiggs did.  Well, to this reporter, NO ONE can, but I hope he can come close.

Tin Twit - Should I even let you have a guess…
