Well - if you saw the game, enough said. It just figures, when we outshoot opponents, we lose… Ugh!
Not going to comment much about the game. I think the team played reasonably ok. I am so tired of people bitching about Yash. He is playing hurt, and I really think he is trying real hard. People just want scoresheet stuff, and don’t really watch. The same dingdongs that were praising him, are the ones that are ripping him. Do I think he can do better? On the results, yes. Do I think he is lollygagging? Hell no.
The TWIT award is definitely for the people that dont support this WHOLE team! Support the team!
I am just so frustrated that I won’t comment….
Tonight - maybe the last time at the Igloo????? We will see; but I hope not…
60 minutes boys - let’s get the big road 2 points, and get to Philly on a positive note!
Now - to the latest version of the Islander Esoteric (thanks to Roger Farina).

Frustrating, was about the best way to sum it up. I heard the whole game, and I don’t know if it’s just me, but does it seem as if our opponents seem to cash in on just about every lucky opportunity they get, while we don’t. How many times did we Almost score the tying goal in the last 45 or so seconds of the game?
As for Yash, I think the all star break will be helpful. You are absolutely correct, Gary. The guy has come to play. He’s not floating out there. It would be one thing for him to not be putting points up and without playing his hardest, but he is hurt and is clearly doing his best to contribute. I can’t fault a guy for trying to lead by example, but I’m also of the mind that someone should have maybe thought about having him sit a game or two just to rest the knee.

From the Esoteric:
“The Point is his 33rd and is at #123 tying him with the only person on the face of the planet to wear a Stanley Cup Championship Ring with both the Islanders and that other team. ”
Is he talking about the Greg Gilbert, who won the cup with the isles in 83 and the rangers in 94? If so, GG had many more than 33 islander points. One year he scored 31 goals. I need some clairification from Mr. Esoteric, please.

Thanks Jason.
I am building the data base and I do have some mistakes. So I ask that if anyone sees any errors to let me know. I use various sources for my information. The Isles Media Guide is riddled with errors and I have to cross confirm them.
For example, look in the all-time scoring section. Look for names such as Sopel, Luchowich, Petrovicky and I thinkj a couple others. Then there are errors between current players stats in the front.
As for Gilbert, a quick check with HockeyDB states that he had 83 Goals and 138 Assists for 221 Points (Doing some quick math). I will correct the error.
