Les Habs lay the ‘poo-poo’ on the Isles - Ricky hurt

A tough period 3 for the visitors with the Long Island Habs once again spanking the Isles into submission.  A 3 goal onslaught, allows Les Habitants to take the 5-3 victory from Long Island on the first game of a four game swing.

The loss still has the Isles in 7th - but Carolina, Montreal, the Rangers and Leafs are still in striking distance.  This was indeed a lost opportunity to see the Isles inch closer to the sixth spot, and a chance to create some breathing room.  But as an Islander fan, we all know that it is not going to be an easy stretch for the team.

Now - let me get this off my chest.  I feel I need to get real honest, and simple with this (I apologize, in advance for the profanity).

Stay in the GOd Damn Net!RICKY - STAY IN YOUR F-ING NET NEXT TIME!!!! STOP WANDERING AROUND!!!!

I don’t know how much my heart will take this crap!  And we have 14 years and 13 games left of it….. Good grief!!!!

When Ricky is calm and stays to his game, he is among the elite.  It is times when he tries to blaze a freaking trail, and be known for the glamour play and glitzy move, that this crap happens.  And he is now the poster boy for it.

I want to have Dunny play, but cold like that, in such an important game, is the WRONG way, Mr. Future Leader of this team!!!! Incorrect Decision Numbscle!

I did not see the game, due to the fact that I was bowling, so I saw bits here and there, but we did not play 5 on 5 the way we normally play.  Montreal was playing on such emotion and we did not counterract any of it.

MA Bergeron is making Garth a freaking genius!  Another great goal for #47, and also Ryan Smyth getting a 2 point night.  Notice now that the Sillinger, Hunter, Hilbert line has all of a sudden slowed down.  Conincidence?  I don’t know.

Also - nice to see Yash back on the scoresheet.  Ted has allowed him to get his game legs back, and he seems to be a little better each game.  His shot was a nice one to beat Aebischer to make the score 1-0.

As of writing this entry - no word on the condition of Ding-Dong Dipietro.  Hopefully, the shake to the coconut is a sign.

Tomorrow is a larger task.  Let’s just say that we are the ‘bitch’ for Ottawa.  They just spank us to submission more times than a Dominatrix at that time of the month.

We need to get some energy, and make up for the big brain fart that the Isles gave us last night, and get two ciritical points.

Need contributions from all four lines tomorrow as well.  No excuses.  Time for some serious points tomorrow - before the trip to Florida.

Have a good day folks, and watch out for the coconuts!

The “stayin the ****ing goal” was the general reaction around here. I Hate it when Ricky takes risks. And this one was surely a Big one. I am not blaming Dunham, as he has done all we could ask from him. I think the entire team just lost it in the third.

Those were 2 valuable points we needed. With Thursday and the Senators… I was hoping we’d grab those 2 and deal with Thursday when it came. Now, this makes a hard task even more critical. Yes, all four lines and emotion through and through. I felt too much like I was hearing the Ranger game from last Tuesday again at times. And it has to be a solid sixty minutes of hockey too. Any letting up and we will impersonate the Rangers from last night.

What is it with Netminders I think they all have a secret desire to be out field skaters, our netty is the same the amount of times you find yourself screaming at him to get back in his crease is unreal.

Lets hope the next few games turn round and the train that is the Islanders gets back on track especially the 25th and 27th when were over from the UK to see Gary and the rest of you..

Have a great time in Florida Gary while were in Toronto see you on the 25th

BTW - just a comment - Andy is from outside Sheffield England - and he is talking about his SHeffield Steelers the best hockey team ever to play in the UK!

Well done Andy - have a safe trip over the pond and see you soon!
