Well - I got stuck home for a day. What a freaking storm, right? I had a Jet Blue flight. So you know what happened. They told me I would not get a flight until MONDAY! Well - I was not wasting a weekend at home.
So I got a flight on Southwest and around 7:00 - we got our room at our Time Share (Marriott, Grande Vista). If you want to check it out, go to here: http://marriott.com/hotels/travel/mcogv-marriotts-grande-vista/
We were not able to see the game, but thank God for wireless connections in the rooms. We got to listen to Steve and Chris describe the game, but can you tell me, folks who watched this game:
What the hell happened to the defense???? Is it all Dunny, or a combo of the both.
The cog that was steering this team for the first 60 + games this season, seems to be waiing quickly. It is a shame to waste such a great effort by Silly, and Smyth. They need to relax and play their game.
Well - it is time for me to get out and get some food for the room. Then we have an owners meeting to get some more information on our property. Then check out the weather forecast for Orlando for the next week… http://www.weather.com/outlook/travel/businesstraveler/tenday/32821?from=36hr_topnav_business
Well - the sun is up, and I am outta here. Have a great day, y’all…

I was only able to hear parts of the game, so I’d be interested in hearing what it “looked like”. It seemed to me that it was a combination of bad defense and Dunham. Maybe, I’ve become spoiled by Ricky’s big saves and ability to keep us in games, but this, to me, was a wasted effort. We finally got the goals in the net, but gave up more than we scored. This is not good, especially at this juncture in the season. It seems those losses to the Rangers have, somehow, upset the confidence or focus of the team. We need to get ourselves back on track before we are Really on the outside looking in.

Defense was very slow, but the goaltender has GOT to make at least a few big saves. Dunham let up a wrap-around almost exactly the same as the Chris Neil goal from the Ottawa game. VERY SLOW reacting to the wrap-arounds.
The defense was by no means good, but the goaltending was terrible. I hate to say it, but you have to go with Dubie against Tampa if DP is not ready.
The Montreal game, I gave Dunham a pass. The Ottawa game was bad, and this game was even worse, because the guys were trying and working hard in the offensive end, and produced 5 goals, yet it wasn’t enough.
I’d like to give excuses for Dunham, but he’s a pro and he has to be better than this. I know he had a long layoff, I know he hasn’t been in a game in 2 months, but his performance the last 3 games simply is not anywhere close to what we need. Dubie, when called upon in the past, has done a commendable job, and deserves the chance.
