Congratulations to Brian Burke, Randy Carlyle and the Anaheim Ducks on winning the Stanley Cup!
You could see last year that this team was close to being a real contender. Getting one Chris Pronger was the final nail in the proverbial coffin.
They had the complete game, and hit and slammed Ottawa into that same coffin. For a team that made Buffalo look lost, they were even more lost to the Ducks.
Guys were completely in a fog (Heatley, Spezza, Phillips, Redden), Emery was just not as sharp; it was all a colossal mess. It is a shame that Anaheim did not get a more worthier opponent.
Well - baseball has it’s hot stove league; hockey now has the Cool A-C League. Let the signings begin! (That’s your cue Garth!)
There are 23 days to go before all 29 other teams can go after our guys. We know you can do it Garth. Make it so!
Well - I will still talk hockey as the off-season progresses. Check the site often… And please, make comments when you can… It shows that there are hits to the site that really mean something. I appreciate your comments (agree or not with what I say - that is the beauty of it).
Take care!

Three of the Sens’ losses were one-goal games, all decided in the third period. Anaheim simply slammed the door in Ottawa’s face last night - and they’d have done the same thing with any other opponent. The Ducks have NEVER lost a home game when given the opportunity to close out a series.
It’s obvious that the Senators aren’t well liked on this site, but they were absolutely the best team in the Eastern Conference. And now, Islander fans can join Senators fans in booing that Russian clown every time he visits the Coliseum - if any GM is dopey enough to sign him in the first place.

Read your blog everyday, Gary. Just don’t post comments often. LOL!
Congrats to the Ducks on winning the 2007 Stanley Cup. Great to see Selanne (sp?), Rob Neidermayer (sp?) and Jiggy finally get the their Cup.

Well - like Ed Chadwick said in the Movie, Youngblood…
“Maybe you wanna play for the Tallahassee Warthogs!”

I thought the Sens had a bit more in them. I really hate the NHL schedule because we don’t see enough of the West to appreciate just how good some of these teams are. Grats to the Ducks. Well done, boys. That was an impressive display of hockey.
