Can someone please put the muzzle on this mutant?
Just when you think that he is going to stay out of the limelight - the dingbat shows his colors again…
The following is quotes from Newsday on Wednesday:
I didn’t expect it [the fighting]. It’s an exhibition game,” said Avery, who grumbled in the press box during the 5-4 OT loss and clearly would have been in some of the scrums. “But I wish I had played.”
Why?
“For a very obvious reason, as obvious as reasons can get,” he said.
Maybe he should have played during the SLAPSHOT era. I guess tonight should be a little donneybrook action going on, and guess who is going to be the main culprit….’
Hmmm.
I do not believe that Andy Sutton and Chris Simon will be playing tonight, so “Shawna” will have to wait until October 10th at the Coliseum. Sutton should give him a little HELLO……
Will be at the game tomorrow night in Bridgeport, as the Isles take on the Devils. Will have a commentary to follow on Sunday.
Have a good weekend everyone. Hockey starts FOR REAL in a few days.
Oh - by the way, Steve Mears, will be our guest on the New York Hockey Report on Wednesday, October 3rd. Make sure you join us.

Hopefully after that buffoon Steve Downie getting suspended 20 games for his assault on Ottawa’s Dean McAmmond the other night, maybe Avery will have second thoughts (that is, assuming he’s ever had a first thought!) So, if he wants to get stupid (even for him), the league has set a benchmark.

I wish I could feel as confident that the NHL would come down on him. Their track record when it comes to the Islanders, unfortunately, has not been impressive. The guy is a screaming moron in the true cement head term, and I hope that he either does do something stupid enough to get himself a seat for 10 or 20 games. However, not to sound barbaric or such, but I’d prefer someone kick his pathetic posterior and knock him back to the stone age with a right uppercut.

Good thing he wasn’t in the lineup tonight!
