Third period maturity. 6-4 final - Win number 1

The coach mentioned that the team were a lot calmer and relaxed in the third period than they were in the past.  They handled themselves well - made solid decisions, and when a small mistake was made, the team recovered well and were absolutely solid.

First line - A+

Second Line - A

Third line - A

Fourth Line B

Defense B- (needs a little work)

Goalie - B (4 goals given but that outstanding save 3 minutes in made up for it)

Real encouraging….  Now I am so stoked for tomorrow.  Maybe we can tailgate even earlier.

One should not make too many observations in regard to importance for a first game of the season, but I must say what I witnessed definitely set my mind at ease. Other than a little defensive lapses and weakness and Ricky not showing complete sharpness, it was an impressive outing. Mike Comrie showed the ability and potential I have been reading about. It was great that the new guys all made their presence known.
