You got your contract - the team has the confidence in you to get the job done.
Now it’s time to do it.
No more excuses. You have the ability, as you have shown in your AHL career. You were one goal away from leading the entire league, even with missing almost a third of the year. However, once you get to the NHL level, the numbers just don’t jive…
Can we blame the previous administration behind the bench?
In a lot of cases, yes. You were not being played to your strengths and not getting the minutes that are needed.
I think in the right environment, you can succeed. However, you have to show it. You got your security, now, using the words of NIKE:
JUST DO IT!

Well, let’s hope his minor league stats can translate into the professional level. I hear great things about his ability, yet, from what I’ve seen, he has not brought it to the table. Indeed, it could be the ways in which he was not be used correctly, but I agree that it’s all up to Jeff now.

My son scored 9 goals in his first Atom game. He is now a goalie at Squirt level. There have been many high scoring juniors and minor league’ers who have never done anything in the NHL. I would bet “statistically” speaking for every 20 high scorers at those levels maybe one reaches that level in the NHL. Its just the way it is. Anyone seen Scott Scissons lately?

1) This is make or break for Tambellini. He’s not exactly a peach faced kid anymore. Its time to show if he’s an AHL caliber player or ready to take his game to a new level
2) Can’t help but recall how now-Caps coach Bruce Boudreau would lead the minors in scoring every year yet could never crack an NHL lineup
