A perspective about the Islanders, Hockey and other ramblings from Gary Harding, a former Islanders Booster Club President and season ticket holder since 1989. The Blog Name, basically tells you where I sit. From Row B, Seat 1 in Section 317, I watch the boys that wear my home on their sweaters play hockey over 40 times (hopefully more) every season. As of October 2008, Gary is a member of the NYI Blog Box, a collection of Islander Bloggers, who will be working at the Coliseum this season, talking about their favorite team.

The first win is a Big one for this team. We bent, but did not break. It's these little lapses that seem to bite us in the behind, but that will take time and experience to lessen their impact. Again, as I have said, when this team truly puts Gordon's system into play and does not let up on the opponent, we can beat Any team any given night. It's a matter of trying to play all sixty minutes with focus and intensity.

The one "little" aspect of the game that made me feel just as good as the victory was Sutton standing up for JT when he was given that hard hit. I guess, if you go by the NHL rules and the "grace period" point, it was not an "illegal" hit, but it was Great to see Sutton respond as he did anyway. It was a penalty worth the two minutes.<div class="comment-remix-meta"><a href="#" class="replyto" onclick="replyto('62066','John Panarese'); return false;">Reply</a> - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('62066','John Panarese','The first win is a Big one for this team.
